We have visited for coffee and breakfast on two occasions. Lovely hot cafe au lait with fresh bread and jam. We also ate at the restaurant in the evening. The menu was creative. Food quality and service excellent. Each item on the menu is thoroughly assessed for all allergens with an easy to follow guide. We had a salad that included fresh and unusual ingredients making it a memorable meal. The wine was also very good.
The owners have excellent English. There is a very unusual garden and they offer Champagne tasting too.
The restaurant and shop are only a mile and a half from the main campsite which is a lovely walk away from traffic. Note that the shop and restaurant have different hours. There are toilets on the ground floor without any steps and sufficien parking also.Visited in May
I can't recommend this place enough. It really was the heart of the village and it stole our hearts. Thank you for your lovely hospitality and great latte!

We came to this cosy restaurant very spontane. It was like stepping into an alternative art expotition. So cosy with a very pleasant vibe. The owner was a very lovely and passionat lady. I felt like we stept in a fairytale. I Absolutely reccomand you to go there with the kids or friends. You will not only get amasing food but a magical experience and a great story.

They have just opened this year and they are a welcome addition to the village, there is a couple there who run it and they are so very friendly and welcoming.The service and food are so very nice with a good variety of lunches and desserts etc, plus they have a great kid’s drink choice and very good Coffee too.They put their own touch on things that makes it a special place to be 😊😍😊

The food is incredible, even complimented by fresh edible flowers from their own garden and everything made fresh for you to enjoy. If you want a unique place with amazing tastes this is the place to go, wonderful outside eating area and tea room. Best dining experience in lac d Orient.
They also have a store selling bespoke fashion garments designed by the amazingly talented owner. The store also sells treats, breads, champagne and much more. Absolutely fantastic concept and is really a spot of heaven in the village.- Service

And the food was very custamizable,
you can ask them to add or take away something and they will do it.
BUT THAT´S NOT THE BEST PART!
Around you(inside) where games play!
We played chess, there was a big chess board and a small one sl you can play 2 matches at a time.
And the service could not have been better! The waitress could speak English, France and best of all...She could speak a bit of dutch! I have not seen a single restaurant where they know dutch!
It´s very fun to see the people around you, interested in your language.
And for the waiter, he was very funny,
Hey gave me the harrypotter cup and then came back with the sorting hat!
He was also very nice and he put alot of effort into hes stuff, there was also a garden but sadly enough we had to leave before we could see it.

Anna-Barbara and Jean-Paul are a very welcome breath of fresh air when it comes to service with a smile, fantastic food and drink and lovely place to sit with a refreshing ice cream. I would highly recommend.

We passed around 8pm. The place was apparently closed, the owner welcomed us even though he had the last table leaving. Th food is just amazing. We tried the filet salmon and the diverse small sandwiches. All was good.. Make sure you review the bill before you pay it.

We had the artisan beer which came accompanied with some home made bbq chickpea snacks and a local cider that came with an apple madeleine. All delicious and complimented our drinks perfectly!
